The Toonie Suppers are great events where you can meet with the University Chaplains, meet with friends, make new friends, and find out about other events on campus. Toonie Suppers are designed to help students connect with students.
It's true that the Toonie Suppers are held at a church, that local church communities supply the meals, and that there is always a university Chaplain present. But you don't have to be in a religion or into religion to be part of this great meal. The point is to development community, and communities of whatever sort always hold different folks, different opinions, and different views on life. The Toonie Suppers are about creating an honest and open atmosphere where students find solidarity in the challenges and struggles of university life.
Anyone can come out to the Toonie Suppers to enjoy the meal and the friendship, but let me know: firstname.lastname@example.org. Send a simple email to say you are attending the meal that evening so that all those involved in preparation have a chance to know how many to expect. Or, give me a call at Brock extension 3977.
Thanks and enjoy a good community experience around a good meal.
